Winter Technical Mountaineering Course accomplished

Himalayan Mountaineering Course - Level I

We are thrilled to announce the successful completion of the Himalayan Mountaineering Course (HMC/TMC) with 14 participants from NUS Mountaineering, Singapore, along with two additional climbers from the United Kingdom and Singapore.

This season, the NUS Mountaineering Team achieved an impressive milestone by summiting Mt. Tsorku (5750 m) with a 100% success rate! Congratulations to everyone on this remarkable achievement, marking your first ascent of the mountain.

Throughout the course, participants engaged in a comprehensive curriculum that covered essential skills such as rock, ice, and snow craft, mountain navigation, leadership techniques, basic rescue skills, waterfall ice climbing, rope work, and glacier activities.

We applaud the dedication and perseverance of all participants and look forward to more adventures in the future!
