16 participants around the world (12 Singaporeans, 1 Canadian, 1 USA, 1 Austrian, and 1 Netherlands) of the HMC-level-I course were successfully conducted from May 9 to May 27, 2024, at Langtang Valley.
The Glacier Training we had at Scout Peak Glacier (5100 m), this time with less fresh snow, was fantastic, and participants also got a lot of enjoyment.
While in the course, we covered mountain navigation, rock, ice, and snow craft activities, like rock and glacier ice climbing, Self-Rescue, Crevasse Rescue, Glacier Travel, Rock, Ice, Snow Anchors, Mountain Terminology, Snow & Avalanche, Acute Mountain Sickness, Camp Management etc.
And in the end, we had Mt. Scout Peak (5750 m) summit as well.
