Tamang Heritage Trek

  • Day 1 Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1300m)


    Arrive at the Tribhuvan International Airport and meet our representative who will transfer you to your hotel. You can follow the check-in at the hotel with a light stroll around the nearby areas. Overnight stay at a hotel in Kathmandu. 

  • Day 2 Day 02: Kathmandu Valley Sightseeing and preparation for the trek


    Start your day by visiting the famed UNESCO World Heritage sites of the Kathmandu valley that include religious sites such as Pashupatinath, Swayambhunath, and Boudhanath. Quench your thirst for cultural knowledge by visiting the architectural durbar square of Kathmandu. After the tour, head back to your hotel and acquaint yourself with the guides who shall accompany you on the trek. Prepare all the necessary stuff and baggage. Overnight stay at a hotel in Kathmandu.

  • Day 3 Day 03: Drive from Kathmandu to Sybrubensi (1500m) 8-9 hours


    Wake up early and board on a vehicle that leads to Sybrubensi. The 80 km long road is a mixture of twists, turns, and some parts are fully peached whereas some parts are graveled. The typical Nepali highway maybe a bit bumpy but the experience is what we live for. Arrive at Sybrubensi and from there, transfer to your hotel. Overnight stay at Sybrubensi. 

  • Day 4 Day 04: Trek from Sybrubensi to Gatlang (2200m) 5 hours


    While observing the delightful display of terraced fields and grassy meadows, we cross the Goljung pass and walk on the path that leads to Gatlang village. Experience the village lifestyle of Nepal, yak pastures, cascading waterfalls and the delinquent view of the snowy giants in Ganesh Himal, Sanjen Himal, and Shishapangma ranges. Arrive at the Gatlang village and spend the remainder of the day here. Overnight stay at Gatlang.

  • Day 5 Day 05: Trek from Gatlang to Tatopani (2607m) 7 hours enjoy with hot spring


    We follow the trail that includes some uphill climbing but is home to a vibrant display of the blooming rhododendrons and lanky pine trees. Observe the delightful panorama of the snowcapped mountains like Langtang and Ganesh Himal on the background. We arrive at Tatopani and take a dip in its warm waters and feel the freshness entering your body. Overnight in Tatopani. 

  • Day 6 Day 06: Trek from Tatopani to Thuman (2400m) via Brimdang and Nagthali: 6 hours


    The route of the day involves going through the agricultural fields and huge Mani walls. This aspect of the trek is regarded by many as the most beautiful part of the trek. Make your way through Nagthali and fight through the dense forests, grasslands, and experience the ancient Tibetan lifestyle over there. The vantage point in Thuman provides a majestic view of the Gosainkunda ridge and the mountain territory of Tibet. Overnight stay at Thuman. 

  • Day 7 Day 07: Trek from Thuman to Briddhim (2345m) 6 hours


    This portion of the trek encompasses the surreal natural beauty of the Langtang region and is something straight out of a textbook. Make your way through the Bhote Koshi River, and after you cross its tranquil waters, start an uphill battle and you’ll reach Lingling where we shall have lunch. From there it is a short walk to Briddhim. Overnight stay at Briddhim.

  • Day 8 Day 08: Trek from Briddhim to Lama Hotel (2470m) 6 hours


    The route from Briddhim to Lama Hotel sees a slight increase in altitude; so, it is advised to trek slowly while letting the body acclimatize. Our trail takes us through the Ghopcha Khola and later we face an uphill challenge to reach Lama Hotel. Traversing through the greenery and the now snowy terrain we arrive at Lama Hotel which sits on the bank of the mighty Langtang River. Overnight stay at Lama Hotel. 

  • Day 9 Day 09: Trek from Lama Hotel to Langtang Village (3430m) 7 hours


    The road to Langtang village provides an awesome display of Mani walls, prayer wheels, and even some minor Tamang settlements. We walk alongside the Langtang River and cross the forests that are filled with hemlocks, rhododendrons, and maples. Marvel at the display of the Langtang Lirung and arrive at Ghodatabela to have some lunch. From there, it is an uphill trail that gradually reaches the Langtang village. Overnight in Langtang village. 

  • Day 10 Day 10: Trek from Langtang Village to Kyanjin Gompa (3870m) 4 hours


    The route from Langtang village to Kyanjin Gompa is a relatively short one and to arrive there, you must indulge in some steep uphill climbing. Make your way through the meadows to arrive at Kyanjin Gompa. You have the option of climbing to Kyanjin Ri or Tserko Ri. From there, we can observe the Langtang range along with many Himalayan Peaks. Overnight stay at Kyanjin Gompa.

  • Day 11 Day 11: Trek from Kyanjin Gompa to Lama Hotel: 5 hours


    From Kyanjin Gompa, we must pass through Langtang River and descend downwards. As you head below, you can see the Langtang valley which is pretty ancient. Make your way through the lush forests while admiring the snowy mountains and take a rest at Ghodatabela. From there, it is a straight walk towards Gumanechok and finally, we arrive at Lama Hotel. Overnight stay at Lama Hotel. 

  • Day 12 Day 12: Trek from Lama Hotel to Sybrubensi: 5 hours


    The trail for the day involves crossing the Bhote Koshi River and walking alongside the banks of the Langtang Khola. Walk along the trails that are filled with meadows and quaint Tamang settlements combined with a stunning panorama of the Himalayan jewels. The Tamang settlements are more Tibetan rather than Tamang. The trail provides an opportunity to witness the wildlife like the leopard, wild goat, and Himalayan Thar. Finally, arrive at Sybrubensi and head towards your hotel. Overnight stay at Sybrubensi.

  • Day 13 Day 13: Drive from Sybrubensi to Kathmandu


    From Sybrubensi, head on towards Kathmandu on a public vehicle and rewind all the important memories that you had in this journey. At Kathmandu, transfer to your hotel. You can spend the remainder of the day simply resting or indulging on a tour around the valley. Overnight stay at a hotel in Kathmandu. 

  • Day 14 Day 14: Final Departure


    Today is your final day in Nepal and our representative will drop you off at the Tribhuvan International Airport for your final departure.
