Mt.Mera Peak Climbing

  • Day 1 Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1300m)
    Upon your arrival at the Tribhuvan International Airport, one of our team members will greet you. After that, we will transfer to your hotel room. You can rest or visit nearby places in the remaining time. Overnight stay at a hotel in Kathmandu.
  • Day 2 Day 02-03: Climbing Preparation


    There are two days allocated for preparation of climbing the peak. After procuring the necessary documents for peak climbing, you move on to the preparation phase. The preparations to be done for climbing includes planning and sorting of the equipment required for the trek such as crampons, ice axe, and ropes. An expert will teach you the usage of such equipment and also meet your trek guide and fellow climbers and get to know them. Overnight stays at a hotel in Kathmandu.

  • Day 4 Day 04: Fly to Lukla (40 minutes) (2840m), trek to Paiya (Chutok) (2730m) (5-6 hours)


    On the fourth day of your trip, you will fly to Lukla. It takes about 40 minutes’ flight to reach Lukla from Kathmandu. The flight itself is a unique experience as it brings you closer to the beautiful Everest Himalayan ranges. From Lukla, you will walk towards Paiya and pass a small jungle that later leads to the bridge of Handi Khola. Moving on, you will trek more for about 5-6 hours till you reach Paiya. Overnight stay at Paiya.

  • Day 5 Day 05: Paiya to Panggom (2846m) (5-6 hours)


    The journey from Paiya starts with a sharp descent which might be slippery. Initially crossing Paiya Khola, you ascend to the top of Kari La Pass (3145m). Moving forward from the pass, you’ll walk through the bamboo and rhododendron forests. Trekking along the Tham Danda, the path crosses Jaubari and Bhalukhop to reach Panggom. Overnight stay at Panggom.

  • Day 6 Day 06: Panggom to Ningsow (2863m) (4-5 hours)


    Leaving Panggom, you will trek till you reach the Panggom Pass (3174m). A descent takes you to the pastureland called Tho Kharka. Heading further downwards towards Peseng Kharka Khola and, you will see beautiful waterfalls with the relaxing sound of water hitting the rocks. Moving on, you will cross the Ningsow Khola and reach Ningsow. Overnight stay at Ningsow. 

  • Day 7 Day 07: Ningsow to Chhetra Khola (3122m) (7-8 hours)


    Walking uphill towards Ramailo Danda, you will be greeted by splendid views of Mera peak (6461m) and Salpa ranges from there. Following the Pasang Lhamu Trail, you will reach Chhetra Khola. You might also see some special wildlife as you’ll be passing through Makalu Barun National Park. On reaching Chhetra Khola, you will rest and prepare for the next day. Overnight stay at Chhetra Khola.

  • Day 8 Day 08: Chhetra Khola to Kothe (3580m) (6-7 hours)


    You will start the trip by walking on the main trail to Mera Peak (6461m). Later you will walk along the Majang Khola and merge the trail to walk along the Hinku Khola. You will walk through a beautiful forest of Rhododendron and continue walking towards Tashing Ongma. On crossing the bridge over Sanu Khola, you will reach Kothe. Overnight stay at Kothe.

  • Day 9 Day 09: Kothe to Thangnak (4358m) (3-4 hours)


    On this day, you will walk along the ridge of Hinku Khola. You will walk through the lush forest of Rhododendron and oak, and admire its enchanting calmness. The way to Thaknak includes passing a 200-year-old Lungsumgba Gompa. There, you can see Mera Peaks’ route scripted in a rock. Moving forward, you will reach Thangnak. Overnight stay at Thangnak.

  • Day 10 Day 10: Thaknak to Khare (5045m) (2-3 hours)


    The journey from Thaknak to Khare is short, taking about 2 to 3 hours. On the trail, splendid views of the northern face of Mera peak will accompany you. You will pass through the trail of Dig Glacier to Dig Kharka. You will see the mesmerizing views of Charpate Himal from here. Walking further, you will reach Khare. Overnight stay at Khare.

  • Day 11 Day 11: Rest, Training & Acclimatized Day

    One or two days for acclimatization day is a must in any high altitude adventure. And peak expedition is the supreme of all of the high adventures. You cannot go straight for the climb without a single acclimatization day. Doing so can cause you to get caught by altitude sickness.

    This sickness is prone to any person travelling at an altitude above 3000 meters. And, Mera Peak climbing goes even higher than that as you know the highest point is the summit itself with 6,476m. You have to breathe the air at the height of 6,476m on this Mera Peak Climbing.

    The Day is Guide will teach you for Climbing Techniques as well for essential’s technique while Mera Peak Climbing.

    Without acclimatization before the summit day, you will have an increased risk of altitude sickness. Your body needs some time to adapt to the newer altitudes. Therefore, this rest or acclimatization day at Khare is included in the Mera Peak climbing itinerary. On this day, you will spend the entire day around Khare which is the gateway to Mera Base Camp.

  • Day 12 Day 12: Khare to Mera High Camp (5780m) (6-7 hours)

    On the eleventh day, you will walk on the rocky trail towards Mera High Camp. The trek heads to the top of Mera La Pass (5415m) and descends slightly to the base camp. Thereon, it is a gradual ascend all the way to Mera High Camp. You can catch glimpses of Mt Everest (8848m), Makalu (8463m), Cho Oyu (8201m), and Lhotse (8414m) from the high camp. Overnight stay at Mera High Camp.

  • Day 13 Day 13: Mera High Camp to Summit and back to Khare (6467m) (8-9 hours)

    This is the main day of the trek, as you will reach the summit on this day. You will start the trek as early as possible, at around 3 am. The trail is steep up the Mera Glacier. The snowy path with steep climbs will also require the use of various equipment brought beforehand. On reaching the top, the tall mountains and beautiful landscapes of snow-capped mountains will make your heart leap with joy. Here, you can witness mountains including the Mt. Everest (8,848m), Cho-Oyu (8,201m), Lhotse (8,414m), Makalu (8,463m), Kanchenjunga (8,586m), Nuptse (7,861m), and numerous other peaks. After some time, the team will return to the high camp and then to Khare. Overnight stay at Khare.


  • Day 14 Day 14: Khare to Kothe (3580m) (4-5 hours)

    After successfully reaching the summit, you will now be on the way back from Kothe. You will walk along the route previous taken to reach Kothe from Khare. Passing pasturelands on the way, you also go past Saibai Tsho Lake. Greenery begins to reappear as you head to Gordishung. Thereon, the trek follows the Inkhu River for most of the occasions to settle at Kothe. Overnight stay at Kothe.


  • Day 15 Day 15: Kothe to Thuli Kharka (4300m) (5-6 hours)

    You will walk a little more than the previous day to reach Thuli Kharka from Kothe. This route is also different than the one you took earlier on the trek. The way to Thuli Kharka involves the crossing of many beautiful streams that are visually pleasing. You will make ascends and descends and reach Chortens along the way. The journey ends as you reach Thuli Kharka. Overnight stay at Thuli Kharka.  


  • Day 16 Day 16: Thuli Kharka to Lukla (2840m) via Zatrwa La Pass (4610m) (5-6 hours)

    The fifteenth day is the last day of trekking on this trip. You will leave Thuli Kharka and walk to reach Lukla. You will keep on climbing till you reach Zatrwa La Pass and cross it at 4610 meters. Moving on, you will be accompanied by the marvelous views of Cho Oyu, Kongde, Numbur Himal, Kusum Khangkaru, and other peaks as you approach Lukla valley. At the end of the trek, you will reach the valley residing at the lap of Himalayas. Overnight stay at Lukla.


  • Day 17 Day 17: Fly to Kathmandu

    On the sixteenth day, you will fly back to Kathmandu. You can share your experience of the trek with us on your way back. You will land at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu. Later in the evening, you can also visit local places of Kathmandu to know its lifestyle. Shopping for gifts and mementos is an entertaining affair as well. Overnight stay at a hotel in Kathmandu.


  • Day 18 Day 18: Departure

    This is the final day of your stay in Nepal. You will be departing from Kathmandu to your home. For that, you will be transferred to TIA where you will take the flight to your next destination
